About
Beside other important lessons, the Corona crisis underpins the importance of effective prevention measures in a global perspective.
With the help of the prevention app for Bangladesh, the management of textile factories in Bangladesh should be empowered to better protect their workers – from Corona as well as from occupational diseases. It is also to guide workers to protect themselves and others from corona and to stay healthy at work, even in a demanding working environment.
The project partners GIZ and DGUV launched this app to reach out to a broad range of management staff and workers in Bangladesh with the help of a digital app, a customer-centric approach easily to understand.
This easy-to-follow, digital and customer-centered access to relevant prevention content is crucial for effective prevention work. Therefore, it can not only help the workers in Bangladesh but also in other countries to stay safe and healthy.
Furthermore, it also can be an important contribution to establish sustainable supply chains in multi-stakeholder cooperation across academic, social, political, national and industry boundaries.
As the contents of this app are developed for implementation of recommendations in Bangladesh, the recommendations sometimes may deviate from the ones of the DGUV for Germany – for example on minimum social distance, ventilation or temperature measurement.
